Wow I never thought I would get screwed by Arlo for buying a door bell camera but I did. Arlo said your could have 5 cameras and get a weeks storage well it looks like they lied. I have 4 cameras that get the weeks storage but now that I bought the doorbell camera it is not included. What can I say ?

Arlo Video Doorbell is a doorbell, not a camera. It does not count towards the camera count. Without a plan, all functions of the Video Doorbell work except cloud recording. The doorbell comes with 3 months free trial of a smart plan, which means you get cloud storage and Smart notifications

Well thanks but my Video Doorbell is a camera as well as a doorbell. not sure what you are talking about, yes I see the 3 months but it is still a camera that is why I bought it, , , , , I don"t need a doorbell but I did need a camera at that level. I still adds up to 5.

The 7 days of free storage is only for legacy cameras such as gen3 cameras, pro, pro 2, Q, Q+.

I did my research. It was clear to me when I bought it that it was not defined as a camera. Don't blame Arlo if you didn't do your research.

Well sorry Best Buy did not say that

So I see you are right but the doorbell is a camera. is it not ? so how will that stand up in court ?

1. You believe anything that anyone tells you at Best Buy? Take it back to Best Buy then. And listening to someone at Best Buy is not doing your research. There's this thing called The Internet. 2. I don't have to prove to you that the Arlo Doorbell is not a camera, Arlo says that it is a separate device. 3. You want to sue Arlo? Fine, they point out what it says on their website and you lose. Is it worth it? 4. 5 is 5. What does that prove? 5. You don't appear to be someone that understands clearly stated facts but appears to interpret them the way you see fit.

Ok, after you buy it on line ?

Yes. You mentioned Best Buy above - on the BBY page for the Arlo Video Doorbell it is stated in the text, in the product data sheet, and in the "from the manufacturer" section.

The video door is a separate camera from the base station cameras. As it’s a video doorbell they do not classify it as a base station camera.
