I've had an Arlo Pro 2 system for awhile now with no Smart plan. I just added an Arlo Video Doorbell. It is supposed to come with a 3 month free trial of Arlo Smart but I can't figure out how to get the free 3 month trial. I bought the Video Doorbell directly from Arlo with a $50 rebate for returning any other video doorbell within 30 days. Has anyone done this?

The Arlo Smart trial is supposed to automatically be applied when you add the video doorbell to your account. Is it not showing under Settings > Subscription?

Nope, it shows "You don't have any Arlo Smart plans yet. " If I click on "Subscribe" it offers me a 1 month free trial not the 3 month free trial. I'm going to call Arlo tomorrow but I'm expecting that they are short staffed right now.

If you tap on Settings > My Devices > Doorbell you should see a banner showing your trial expiry date.

An update after calling Arlo Customer Service: I told them that after setting up my Video Doorbell on my existing Arlo account with no existing Smart plan, I was never given the option for a 3 months free trial of Smart. I was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes, then they said that they would call me back. Their solution: do a factory reset on the doorbell and then the free trial offer would "come back". Really? Why can't they just go into my account and give me the free 3 month subscription? Why do I have to go through the entire setup again? Makes no rational sense to me.
