Arlo family, I am adding 3 cameras to my current Pro system. What is your recommendation between the Pro 2 and Pro 3?

I like Pro 3 BUT you are adding cameras that require a paid plan. Some people are very against paying a monthly fee. The Pro 3 has a totally different battery, charging cable, and mounting system. Bear all these things in mind when choosing. Otherwise as above, 2K resolution recording and colour night vision with built in spotlight are great

I have a 3 cam Pro 2 and added a Pro 3. There is negligible difference in single camera price but the 3 is much better imo. Better resolution and colour night vision.

Also has a built in light and alarm.

To me it depends on what you want out of it. I have some old arlos around my house. Just to kinda show whats going on in backyard and side gate. And pro2 on front door and driveway for a clearer picture. Haven't tested pro3 out yet, but I'd want the best for my driveway and front door.

I'm currently a Premier subscriber and am only using 7 of the 10 cameras under my subscription. I have a few more angles to hit and with the wife wanting more coverage, I figure, upgrade to a better camera for my high traffic areas and re-dispurse the remainder to my other areas. Steve, I know in a last post you mentioned something about mounting for the Pro 3's. I like the ability to mount my Pros wherever I feel, within reach of the base. I have them on gutters, shutters, bricks and sticks

Yeah, that was my peeve as well. I have a Pro on a metal pipe - perfect. The Pro 3 and Ultra moving the magnet to the mount itself means you pretty much have to use a mount. If you're already paying for a plan, that's great. Just make sure you know what the deal is for new users currently as I believe the current price structure makes it a lot more expensive to have a large number of cameras. When your plan rolls over, you'll probably have to get the per camera pricing rather than renewing this "legacy" plan and it might make your yearly fee a lot more. But yeah, the Pro 3 is defo a better camera in general

Will need another bass only handles 5 each

Dan, under free plan it handles 5. If you pay for service, it opens up to more depending on your subscription. I pay for the Arlo Smart Premier package ($99/yr) gives me 30 days of access to recordings and up to 10 cameras. I've got 7 cameras now, which gives me 3 more to add to my current subscription. Now, looking at the individual camera price vs the 3 camera system, I'm coming out ahead by purchasing the system, which gives me another base station to split my cameras up between the 2

I have the Pro 2 which I purchase because of the 7 day free cloud storage. My sister in law just purchased the Pro 2 vice Pro 3 due to the 7 day free storage. That being said for our use, the Pro 2s due the job.
