Pro 3 or Ultra?  I am getting ready to replace my 2 camera Pro 2 system with either of the above.Pro 3 or Ultra? I am getting ready to replace my 2 camera Pro 2 system with either of the above. Will be going to 6-7 cameras at least. I will be running someone solar, some on regular power and some on battery. Other than standard specs found online I’m not finding any real life experience. What are people finding?

I have an Ultra. Bought it before the Pro 3 came out. I really love the Ultra. The battery charge will last 4-6 months for me and I enjoy how the Ultra camera moves and follows the object in a clip. But because of cost the 3 should perform as well and is a good option.

@gratt how do you get so long out of your batteries. Mine are lucky to last 3 weeks before I have to charge them

It is at my front door, minimal plant or tree movement to cause a motion detection. Frankly it only records people or the random cat. The positioning in relation to the base is good too so this particular camera stays connected and with strong WiFi never seems to “look” for the base otherwise which I believe conserves battery. If a camera is always has to reconnect to the base or drops off a lot, that really eats battery life.

I don’t have any of the new pro 3 cameras but I like my ultras. Seems like some go through battery life faster than others. What I don’t like about the ultra is the ones recording in 4K wont playback on a pc without downloading. Some kind of flash or coding or streaming issue.

Ultra all the way, you can’t beat the wider view, detection of animal/car/person (not 100% is other models have this), and especially can’t beat the built in spot light

I have the Ultra, setting minimal so I didn’t run battery out and needed charging within 3 weeks of installing them. Then this week I have haft two charge the batteries at least twice. We brought solar and installed yesterday so will see how they go!

@pyrethrum49854 if battery continues a fast drain, reboot the camera and router. That might help.

One thing to note - with the Pro3 and Ultra you are REQUIRED to have a subscription.
