I too lost that function!

@unlookedfor97 must be a glitch in the app.

@kinescope read on a forum to log into your arlo account at my. arlo. com on a desktop computer and make sure the cameras are active on the arlo smart plan subscription. Some users found their cameras were somehow removed from it. Looking at my app, it shows 0 active cameras so that may be the issue. Haven’t checked on a desktop computer though.

@kinescope can confirm that after adding cameras back onto smart plan and relaunching app the snapshot and record buttons are back!

@unlookedfor97 My cameras are active on my app and on the desktop website and I still don't have the record/camera feature when viewing live videos.

The feature is only available for my Arlo Pro camera but it's not available for the Arlo Ultra camera I have.

@lynnelynnea the last thing I read was that the functions are not available if the “Local 4K streaming” is on. Try turning it off.

@unlookedfor97 That's probably it right there. That sucks but I prefer to keep the local 4k streaming on.

If you want to snap shot a pic you need to log off the Network that the Arlo camera is on and use another network such as another WiFi or Mobile Network then the snapshot icon will return. Had to do this for my Ultras abs Pro 3's.
