Is it normal to have a 45 second plus delay on on my arlo pro 2? I have great wifi signal and just bought them two days ago.

Arlo aint what the commercials would lend you to believe. The delay is bulls—t. Camera starts to record after the issue. Sucks. I’d never get Arlo again.

@paucity496 I don’t see that on mine at all. My doorbell always capture about 2-3 seconds before the movement starts. My two cameras that are plugged in are about 1-2 seconds before. My one camera that isn’t plugged in starts right at or just after it detects.

@franchescafranchise yeah that's what support said to try. I unhooked all cameras and restarted everything and still. I really appreciate the help tho, I live in a rough area and live video is a must. And arlo pro 2

You’ve confirmed you have 1000mbps internet. Are you connected to that with your phone?

Are you saying you have a 45 second lag on live view? Or 45 seconds between a motion activation and the video becoming available in your library? If the latter, it won't be available until the video has finished unloading to the cloud which is after the camera stops recording and after the data finishes sending, which can be another 6 seconds or so

@terrie Thanksng 45 second lag on live

Mine is 3 seconds. On 4G. (Yes I have 5G but my computers are on 5G) Less wifi congestion, faster camera.

Your Arlo camera is on 4G?

Mine is just under 1 second delay. I had issues initially, but it was my WiFi that was causing the issue.

That's not normal. You need to check the settings. I have the ultra, it has much higher resolution and doesn't have more than 5 seconds delay.

That isn't a normal reaction. Let's try some suggestions. Check the distance from the camera to the base as well as what the signal has to go through. Walls, brick, mortor, wood etc. The more walls the less reaction time. Next check your internet equipment. What is your speed you have coming into your home. The base requires 50mb min and works best at 80 plus. The base is your wifi for the cameras. Do you have a combo unit modem/router or separate system. It works best on a stand alone router. Restart your equipment. If you've done the previous, restarting everything including your modem in 5 min increments can help.

Wish mine would record after 7. 30 pm. My Nest Camera records the same area no problem.

My internet speed is decent on a 4 tier router/mesh combo. 100mbps download about 20 mbps upload Cameras take about 10 seconds on a couple, then 10-20 seconds on the rest of them. just used to it. I also run Reolink Argus cameras, they load slightly quicker. But my picture preview notifications are fast to identify when a person is detected. so I see the rich notifications quickly on my watch and phone.
