Can I buy a solar panel and connect it to an Arlo Pro 2 camera without a battery installed? And have it work full time?

The solar panel will only trickle charge the battery, so the battery needs to be there.

I've got a Pro 2 on solar panel. Haven't touched it in a year and a half. Battery is still in of course. The panel works even in low light but it probably should given how huge it is

@chavaree solar panels can have built in batteries. Just out of curiosity, where do you work?

Did you do any research at all? Like for instance the arlo website?   I run my own Event Services company that uses skill and research to solve problems for high end large scale events.

@chavaree nope. I joined this group to ask questions and read posts. You can either be helpful for just shame me for asking a damn question.

@disloyal6046 no shaming, just suggesting the arlo page might have more reliable info.

@chavaree, I’m sure you know this from your professional event services company, not all vendors tell the whole truth about their products and performances.
