Hello have a new Arlo pro 2 - I need to turn off any motion on camera 1- how to do? Watching baby chicks and it drained my battery in a day. I don’t need motion activation or alerts from cam 1. Thanks

You have to turn off the whole camera. Or wire it to a power source. The motion detection works like a flood light sensor and turns on the camera part regardless of notifications (and recording).

There is a slider under the camera settings to turn off the camera, but it is still manageable over the wireless network. You have to then manually turn it on if you want to view

No. The camera part, when battery powered, is actually powered off until the motion sensor is triggered. The sensitivity doesn't seem to actually do much except feed the alert part of the system that decides if it should record at all.

I was under the impression that is the camera is "on" the motion detector triggers the camera part irregardless of any recording settings. I guess a good way to test would be to do this at night and watch the camera to see if the IR LEDs are turned on even with recording off.

Do you want it to record at all?

Disarm the camera.
