Question

If power goes down does followed by internet connection turn off also, does the Arlo Pro 2(battery is inside the camera) still records if motion is detected?

Nope. If your base station is plugged in to a battery backup and you have a USB stick plugged into, I do believe it will record locally without internet. But otherwise, it will not record at all.

No they do not. If you use the local storage and the internet is working it will record to the Local storage to be viewed off line and you will not get notifications
