Does anyone use the solar panels for Arlo 2? How well do they work? Thanks

Definitely try and stick to the Arlo made ones. There have been reports about third party ones allowing water ingress at the connector, which is obviously terrible. Some have said they've ended up putting silicon sealant around the connector. Also you may find your warranty is voided if you use a third party item and damage occurs because of it. Regardless of waterproofness, I'd always recommend trying to keep the camera under an eave or some shelter if possible. Obviously, this is dependent on the item. I use third party silicon skins because they're cheaper and should have no risks

Have 2 of my Pro 2 cameras connected to solar panels. Both set up for best video, charge perfect during the day. 1 of them records on average 100 activations per day.

Yep. Works well even in relatively low light. Haven't had to touch that particular camera in a year and a half

Thats what we are trying to decide. Going thru arlo is more costly. Do the others work as well or worth it to pay the Arlo price?

Sceptical so I just got one Arlo panel to try. It works great on a busy camera so I’ll be adding another couple.

@ichthyornis1210 yup! Just installed these bad boys a month ago. World of difference. Don't have to worry about getting on a ladder ever again to change batteries. At least on the pro 2's. I have 2 pros and 5 original Arlos that I plan on trading all of those out to pro 2's eventually and tie them all to solar panels.
