I agree with online grocery shopping. I preplan meals for the week and pre-prep lunches and any dinner items I can on Sunday for the week. If it’s easy, pre -prepped and I already bought it, I will follow through. I also leave notes for my husband to start dinner before I get home since he gets off before me. We usually do easy meals like tacos two nights in a row ( prep once use twice). Papa Murphy on Tuesday sometimes for 10$-dinner for us and lunch for hubby.

I’ve managed to go from $1200 a month to $850 in a year using pickup and not stepping foot in the store

Walmart grocery pickup has saved me time and money. There isn’t any impulse buying at all ❤️❤️❤️

Double batches of things like casseroles and soups! It’s so nice to have the extra serving stored in the freezer for a rainy day or bad budget week

Making meals up from things you already have on hand helps. I didnt drive for a long time so I made use of everything in my pantry. A lot of times I'd be missing say one ingredient and I'd google a replacement or find out if I could omit it all together. Growing your own veggies helps as well. Even if it's just a couple plants that your family buys often.

Sometimes, I realize at bedtime that I don't have anything for lunch the next day. I used to reward my poor planning with lunch out ($10-15 each. ) My go-to new thing is to throw a frozen roast/chicken in the crock pot on Low all night and wake up to food that's ready to take for lunch.

Shopping your cabinets first before going to the store. Make as many meals as you can with what you already have. Also make a meal plan! If you tend to pick up extra as you shop then try grocery pick up. Either use leftovers for lunch or include as an ingredient for the next day’s dinner.
