Anyone else have a large amount of money sitting in savings and can't pull the trigger to pay off the debt? I know it doesn't make sense to pay the interest I'm paying on the CC, but the idea of not having a large savings scares me to death. Yes, I'm that one if my checking account drops below $1000 I start stressing out.

6 months of living expenses is what I feel comfortable with so that’s what my extra goes to. I totally feel ya

My father recently suffered an brain aneurysm and was out of work for 2 months and fell behind on bills because he didn’t have a savings cushion. That reinforced my thinking on the subject of savings

@orella my mom was in charge of bills when I was little. She had multiple brain aneurysms & was never the same. My dad took over bills & no savings. Had car repo'd & house foreclosed on. Because of that Im a saver.

@yourself Wow, that’s terrible. Luckily my dad is back to work and they’re trying to catch back up but it for sure lit a fire in me to really commit to saving just Incase
