Costco vs Aldi's?  Both are an hour from me in different directions.Costco vs Aldi's? Both are an hour from me in different directions. We have been doing a once a month trip to Aldi but I am wondering if anyone has really done a comparison to see if Costco is worth it.

I am not sure that the comparison here is apples to apples. I love Costco mostly because its bulk quantities. Now to be fair I have never really looked at meat at Aldi. I have done some produce and a few other shelf items. I am super funny about meat though so once I find a place I really like I struggle to change venues.

I love Costco and aldi one has some stuff the other doesn’t and different deals I guess it’s all on preference. But if aldi was closer to me and more stuff that I like one a daily basis I’d definitely e there all the time. But lily I said I love Costco too

What specifically do you feel you need from Costco? I feel like that could help me see if going there is going to be worthwhile.

#1. Gas. Rotisserie chicken, Bread (although Aldi bread is actually pretty good), produce at Costco is just so much better, and I buy the big pack of eggs at Costco just because we eat so many eggs, Kirkland baby wipes and diapers and other bulk household items. I go to Costco maybe weekly/biweekly and Aldi probably 1-2 times a week.

Ok so I shop both (& have a sams club too lol we’re all over the place). Aldi for me: I get my husbands junk cereal, bagged lettuce, organic milk, frozen vegetables & then I buy random things from the specials section. I do not like the meat from there and the Aldis near me doesn’t have great produce. Costco is my go to for scripts, hubs glasses, travel deals, gas, I buy 95% of our meat/poultry from there. Fresh fruit and veggies. I just break things down and freeze it (meat, bakery items).

We purchase 98% of our food items from Sam's club(costco is much further away) We are also only paid once a month. I dont price compare because of how I shop. I know how much I spend, I dont have to guess each week. yes it may be more expensive in a way but I buy monthly and know I have my important food items and paper products for the month. To me bulk shopping saves me time and my sanity. We have 3 aldi's within 30 min from us. I have been to all. each time I didnt like how their fruit/ produce looked. meat looks iffy as well.
