Grocery shopping: do you just go to one store and do the best you can to stay on budget or do you go to multiple stores to get the best price on different items? I’m torn! Getting the best deal requires me to go to like 5 different stores . They’re all relatively close to one another, but hunting down all the prices is stressful and overwhelming. I feel like I’d be mad about paying for more when I don’t have to by just going to one store though.

We do 3, but one is Sam’s and that’s only once a month. Usually it’s Aldi and then Kroger for anything we couldn’t find at Aldi. In the summer when I’m off with my kids, I sometimes do Fresh Thyme too. They have some great deals on meat and fresh produce, which is the bulk of our grocery shopping, and you can shop double ads on Wednesday. I know a lot of times stores that are more natural like that are pricier but we have saved a lot shopping there with the ads. I’m going this week to stock up on $1. 69/lb chicken breasts.

If it's an advertisement you're looking at take it with you to the store, most places match ads.

I do main weekly thru my Walmart grocery order, twice a month I go to Costco for bulk items. But then I also have to go to Trader Joe’s bc they have my favorite nitro cold brew that keeps me off Starbucks, and usually while I’m there I’ll get some of our favorite meal things

Write my list, write down the price from the Walmart grocery app to the side of the items, then go to aldi. If I can find it cheaper I get it, then I go to Walmart for the rest.

One store. The commissary. I don’t have the time or desire to go to multiple stores and I really, really don’t care lol. Sometimes I’ll go to Trader Joe’s or aldi for the heck of it but for weekly shopping, it’s the commissary

I tend to just do Aldi or Walmart. Sometimes time is money. If I know Meijer is running a great deal on something we consume frequently I sometimes stop and stock up but I mostly just try to do one store to keep it simple.

I only go to Walmart but if there was a big price difference for something I need then I would probably go to the other store. I hate paying more for something knowing I could have gotten cheaper somewhere else

I tend to just do instacart with Aldi. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but I tend to overspend if I go to a physical store, so it evens out. We spend WAY less on groceries now.

We only have a Safeway (the most expensive in our state) and a mom and pop grocery. Every other month we plan large grocery runs which are about. 45 minute which we have to drive to another County.

I do Costco and online shopping/pick up at Giant Eagle. If I shop online it really curbs my spending.

We do either Costco or Walmart the first of the month for our major monthly haul, then fill in weekly at Walmart. We don’t have an Aldi’s up here, and Winco and Trader Joe’s are in the same city as Costco so I don’t usually bother with them. We’re thinking of trying Winco in March for the major shopping just to change it up.

Yes! We are limited where I live but I hate hunting down prices and going everywhere

We go to 2 max. Walmart for all of the boxed stuff, cheese, and frozen stuff but meat and produce are from a local grocery store H-E-B. I won’t drive all over town to save a few bucks, you’ll waste more in gas in my opinion

I usually choose 2. And sometimes go to bjs but not every week. So 2 or 3.

I have a monthly rotating meal plan. I go to one store once each week to buy whatever is on my list and specific items for the month I cant get elsewhere (maybe 5 items per store). I go to Costco additionally once each month. It is not worth my time to drive to multiple stores to save a few dollars when I would spend that on gas and waste the time.

I’ll only do one but I’d have to drive all over to hit up the other ones so i would end using up my savings in gas.

I used to shop EVERYWHERE. like 5-7 stores a week hunting deals. It was worth it and I enjoyed it when I was a SAHM. It was like my hobby. Those days are gone now though. Now I have 2 jobs so the best I can do is Aldi for most groceries then go across the street and get the rest at Wegmans. Even that still saves us quite a bit. But I will never be able to do as good as I did a few years ago. And that is something I have just had to come to terms with ☺️

I shop Hannaford primarily. Don’t usually go elsewhere. Walmart is well out of my way so it’s not worth it to price check.

I use the Flipp app and then pick the top two stores that have the things I need on sale. I’m not going to drive all over town but on the weekend I can split my shop between two stores no problem.

90% of my shopping is Kroger. I've stocked up enough sale items that I mostly only buy the sales stuff. If I have something I need in between shopping, I stop at Walmart- it's on my way home from work.

I usually go to one store and price match the items that are on sale at others stores.

I personally go to two at a time at least because of food allergies. But I rotate what my meals will be if I have to go to a third store. So one week may be Walmart and Harris Teeter. The next is Publix and Lowe's.

I use 2 stores. Aldi's and Wal-Mart. I also plan to get a Sam's membership soon to go to once a month. I would like to shop around more, but right now I'm too busy. But I am a SAHM who babysits and am the one in charge of finances. So, I see it as my job to keep us on budget and our costs down. Plus, I get a thrill out of good deals.

Depends on how big of a discount. If it's 1 item for . 10 then no. But if it's a couple at . 50 and it's not costing me more in gas then go for it.

I have very little free time these days. Grocery stores here aren’t close together. I go to one store period.

If going to multiple stores is going to cost me more money on gas and more stress it is not worth it to me

I shop two stores weekly or bi-weekly, always Costco then I switch the second up between Natural Grocers, Albertsons, the Farmers Market, or Winco, based on sales and what I need. I will also stock up on items that are consistently a good price or I can’t get at the other stores when I go. All of these stores are near each other, and I am 15 minutes away from them. I also keep a list with prices for Costco so I can compare deals/sales at the other stores. With little kids, making more than two or three stops wears me out.

I do two weekly. I shop at Publix sales first then hit up Walmart pickup after. We have a WinnDixie which I thought about added but most of the sale items are the same as Publix

We only have 1 grocery store and it's expensive. I set a budget and do my best. I do set a realistic budget based on how we eat and the cost of groceries. It is a 2 hour drive round trip to another grocery store.
