Can anyone give me insight on disputing something on your credit score? Two years ago I turned in a lease and the dealership never “grounded” the car. So the financial institution thought that I was still in possession of the car for 2 months. But the car was in the lot and the plates were moved over to my new car. Those two months show delinquent on my credit score. And those are the only bad marks. I’m trying to get a loan to consolidate my credit cards and would like to get my score up. How do I go about getting those derogatory marks removed

You can go on Experian. Get a free credit report and you can then dispute it online with them. They will send notification to bank and once they hear the response you will know if they remove the late marks. Yes

I have never done so, but I think you can check on the different bureaus websites and file a dispute through them.

I think you can dispute through Credit Karma also.
