Do any of you use Grove Collaborative? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Remember, cleaning helps kill harmful bacteria and is great for necessary everyday cleaning. You aren’t drinking it, so harmful isn’t a word I would use Elizabeth.

@arrestment I beg to differ

@posehn "The risks of recurrent wheeze and asthma were notably higher in homes with frequent use of certain products, such as liquid or solid air fresheners, plug-in deodorizers, dusting sprays, antimicrobial hand sanitizers and oven cleaners, " commented the paper's lead author, Jaclyn Parks, a graduate student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at SFU. "It may be important for people to consider removing scented spray cleaning products from their cleaning routine. We believe that the smell of a healthy home is no smell at all.

Does not say which products were used, so it could be just bleach and ammonia for all we know.

@arrestment the point I was making is that your statement of “its better to have a clean surface and you’re not drinking it” is not a good way of looking at it. Also, synthetic fragrances can have thousands of hidden chemicals since they are not legally required to list what makes up a “fragrance”. Synthetic fragrances would fall under the category of “scented cleaners”

$24 a year for free shipping, the products are way cheaper than I’d get anywhere else. If using plant based and natural cleaning products is a priority for you, then you can easily make your money back and save more if you go thru cleaning products like I do. I don’t like their paper products bc I don’t think they hold up well. But I go thru Meyers products fast and you can find many more scents than in stores.

@pallaton do you have to pay the yearly fee if you don't want the free shipping? Is there a membership fee?

Check their membership options on the website. I did their VIP free trial and signed up for the annual fee, but I think there is a regular membership. Their customer service has also been top notch if you have questions.

I did for a while but canceled. I got tired of forgetting about it and them drop shipping a bunch of stuff to me that I didn't need. They add random stuff to your cart that they think you may need. I found if I budgeted and shopped around, I could get what I needed for the same price with no fees or unwanted items.

@midgut you can turn that feature off.

I did and the day after I turned it off, they sent me more stuff I didn't need.

I did for a while. then I tried to cancel, and they never canceled it even after I had an email confirmation. But. they never sent me anything, just charged my card. When I finally got mad and went off, he offered me a cheaper deal to stay. Ummmm, that’s gonna be a giant NOPE! Haha.

I love it. I don’t have a membership, and they never charge/send me anything on their own. I go in the app whenever I need stuff and send it that way. There’s always stuff in my cart but they’ve never sent it without my approval.

I did it for a year. I liked it. But I didn’t feel like I needed to pay for it when I already use Amazon. ‍♀️

I used them until they randomly filled my cart with random crap after I had it all set for my auto ship. My $25 order became a $100+ order. I canceled after that. I don’t have time to be double checking that they are sending me stuff I don’t ask for. I’ve read it’s a common practice.

I have been using it for about a year and absolutely love it! We get all of our household items here (cleaning, bathroom, some beauty products, etc. ). I have never had anything added to my cart without my knowledge. You can turn off the auto ship feature if you only want to order on demand or you can change the frequency of items which I personally do. I like not having to think about restocking and know it will come in the amount of time I set it to.

@divisionism Kidder me too. Just had my year anniversary. Had nothing but positive experiences with customer service too. It’s cheaper than buying in stores for me . I’ve even been refunded for items I didn’t like.

I used it for a while I like it but I opted to buy when I need things some item I can find at target for a better price but some of their items are really nice. They will send you items they think you need even if you don’t Place an order. But that’s if you become a member for 20$ a year. They did notify you before the order would ship to make changes which is good and you can skip a month if you need to. There’s good and not so good about them. I started getting excited about things I could get from them so it’s like some people walking in to target lol
