Anyone else still waiting for their Tax return? I read that if you have a child credit or EIC you have to wait till 2/27

Girl! I'm checking every dang on day. Maybe, hopefully by tomorrow or this weekend the irs refund status updates to when the money will be deposited. I'm itching for that refund.

@woodcutter87 lmao! I totally feel you. I just read on the irs website that for those who claimed the EIC, the refund status will be updated this Saturday 2/22. You know we both will be on there like clock work hahaha

@caen2551 right. Last year I got them right away and the Gov was shut down ‍♀️ also it showed that it was approved and never updated but I had it in my account so I am hoping that is what happens tomorrow and its dropped in my account lol

@caen2551 uh I have a bunch of debt to pay and stuff to catch up on from when I lost my job in oct. I'm buying tickets to go to ny by my family for me and my daughter. We are getting ipad/ipod and im getting a new phone and then the remaining is my starter EF I'm thinking $1300-$1500 is good how about you?

@woodcutter87 I have one more credit card to pay off and I'll be debt free, aside from my 14k car loan; which hopefully I can be able to pay more towards the car since I won't have anymore credit card debt anymore. I am also purchasing NYC tickets. My daughter is turning 10 in March so I promised her we'd go. Moreover, I need new tires so that will help. Lastly, I want to invest in a 529 account for my kids, so they don't end up struggling like me.

I filed 1/16 & haven’t gotten either return yet. I just got locked out of the federal where’s my refund tool for checking to many times in a 24 hour period lol.

I filed the day they opened, and claim the eic still nothing but received my state a week ago. Status hasn’t updated on the irs website yet since received.

Yes. I filed 2/1 IRS says still processing and Turbo tax says approved and estimated 2/22. State doesn’t even show my refund in the system to get an estimate on it. ‍♀️

@subito the irs won't start releasing funds if u had the earned income or child credit until like next week. You won't see it till march. That's how it's been the past 5 years. They say its to cut down on tax fraud

@onyx480 that’s not true. We always have our mid February. Ours are done by someone and e-filed. They were approved as soon as he filed them and we should see money within 7-10 days.

@salaam they actually put a statement out that if you have the earned income or child tax credit breaks you wont see your money until. march. if you get it before then its because you didnt qualify for those tax breaks

Did mine 2/3 and I’m still waiting. I don’t qualify for EIC, but was told that anyone claiming dependents has to wait until the end of February.

I got my federal return on the 12th. Submitted mine right around the 1st of the month through TurboTax and I got the child tax credit. ‍♀️

I checked my transcripts again today and at the bottom of them it gave me a refund date of 2/26. Although the where’s my refund doesn’t say anything but processing . You guys should check out the transcripts instead

I got mine last week and filed the week prior. We have three kiddos. I noticed a box to check that said if you have four kids or more. what happens once you have a fourth child?
