Feeling excited!  This month alone my husband and I have paid off 4 credit cards (totalling $7000)and a chunk onto our 5th and last card (paid $3000, 6500 remaining) (Thank you tax return / OT!Feeling excited! This month alone my husband and I have paid off 4 credit cards (totalling $7000)and a chunk onto our 5th and last card (paid $3000, 6500 remaining) (Thank you tax return / OT! ) Why we have so many cards I don’t even know. Our last card will be paid off by beginning of May 2020 and I’m wondering what’s the best thing we could do with the cards for our credit rating? Do we leave the cards open but just get rid of them (or lock away - we won’t be using them again). Should we keep our main card open (bmo black card (air miles) 9500) and close the rest? 2 are in my name and 3 in my husbands . what’s our next steps! What’s going to best help our credit scores / ratings improve? Thanks  (beginning to save for a down payment so want good credit when it comes time to buy - we’re both mid 600’s prior to any card payoffs)  Thanks everyone.
