Here is my debt: 1.  )Camper trailer about $6k it's our home 2.Here is my debt: 1. )Camper trailer about $6k it's our home 2. ) Mini Van about $13k 3. ) Personal loan about $5k 4. ) New Truck $50k 5. ) Odd and ends I would like to pay of about $900 I believe We do have a medical credit card but we just paid it off. Hubby credit score is about 650 & mine is the same. So this part of the story is going to be kinda Tricky and I will try to do explain it that it's not so crazy Hubby was working for Company (A) and (A) sold part of the company to company (B), (B) loved hubby offered him a job at $23k less than what he was making at (A) or he wouldn't have a job at all, so of course he took the job this took place in September We had to move from the RV resort where we were living because we couldn't afford to live there after such a huge pay cut. We moved onto a ranch a friend who was also my friend allowed us to live on her rent more than half what we were paying for the resort. 3 months living in the ranch hubby got a new job offer with company (C) making $8 more it wasn't really about the money but more about a gut feeling so we took the job offer Company (C) said they will pay for our move after we got to the job up $10k of course we didn't have any savings So we looked at all our options, hiring someone to move our camper and renting a Uhaul to move our storage items but we still had no money So we had to take a personal loan out and it was taking a while to get approved we weren't sure what our options were going to be. So we came up with plan B, we will try to trade my hubby's car in because it was brand new only a year old with 25k miles on it for a truck, first we tried to get an older truck but the bank would take a new car fir an older one we had to get a brand new truck Then we were approved for the loan. We had our normal bills, the loan helped to keep up with those until hubby was able to get paid from new job. Out of the loan we got we spent about $3700 for the move company (C) paid it all back. Our plan was to pay the Leon back so we wouldn't be stuck with it at all. However we use some of it to pay our normal bills so we wouldn't get behind. We had our medical credit card that was under $3k and had a higher rate than the loan so we decided just to pay off the medical credit card. If you have made it this far thank you. So I know we have some high debt, but my question is how do we get our credit score up? In like 2 years we have only been late on 1 bill and we can't seem to get our score very high. Sorry for the book and long post but I wanted you all to have a clear picture what we are dealing with.

The late payment is likely hurting you the most, but should fall off soon. How much of your other bills are reporting? Also if you truly want to get ahead I would sell the 50k truck while you still can and get something more reasonable. One more good/positive trade line that you could have paid off. Work on paying off the camper trailer and personal loan. If you can trust yourself NOT to get into debt I would strongly advise you get a small secured or actual m/c or visa. Pay it responsibly-never going over 30% of the credit limit. That is likely the last piece you need. But my biggest question is why do you care about your credit score? Are you looking to buy a House in the future? If you are - absolutely SELL THAT TRUCK. Your net worth is wonky because you don’t OWN anything and you are top heavy in personal “stuff”and debt with no real tangible assets that are paid for. (High risk from a lending standpoint). On his wages it will take FOREVER to pay off that truck, this leaving you in a heap of debt. I am trying to be positive but you may not want the truth. Good luck! ♥️

@apiculate50 but you could now if you traded in the new truck for a used cheaper one? ‍♀️ Anyway, the other tips still apply if you want to improve your credit score. Good luck ❤️

@apiculate50 couldn't you sell the truck privately?

@apiculate50 I might have misunderstood you. I though you were trying to turn the truck into the bank for an older truck in order to save money.

@apiculate50 ah. Gottcha. Not arguing the need for a truck. This is why as a single person I have always had an suv.

Girl I dont know how much you and your husband make but that sounds like an awesome truck. I cant help with the credit score. We have a repo and it tanked my credit. We paid off our other car loan and our credit dropped even more. Cant win
