Tomorrow is pay day, so I’ll be refilling my cash envelopes. Today I need gas. Savings journey question. I currently still have $30 in my gas envelope. Would you just put $10 to have left over to save? Or would you just use all/fill it up and maybe not use that much from the next refilled envelope that starts tomorrow? Does that make sense? Lol. I haven’t started sinking envelopes yet. I’m a little confused on them. Still reading lots of posts and comments to figure out my needs/process. So, right now I just have a lump of cash from the past 2 envelopes where I had left overs; yet to be divided up so that’s where this extra would be going.

^^ this. And then next week you may have leftover because you won’t need to fill up? With Sinking Funds a good place to start is Car Maintenance
