Budget friendly and time saving birthday party food ideas? I always order pizza (usually Dominos because it’s cheaper), but I’d like to do something else.

We’ve done a deli tray for mini sandwiches and make a couple pasta salads, a fruit salad. Stuffed breads pepperoni and/or spinach. And your basic snacks for beverages we do bottled soda since there’s always a better deal on those and small bottles of water. But my favorite is to make lemonade since you can make a lot of it.

Pasta bar. You can get a pound of pasta for a dollar. Get like 3 different kids. I’ve gotten tomato sauce and alfredo for less than 2. 50. And you can do whatever toppings you like. Plus it’s super filling. Add a nice salad and boom !

Taco or sandwich bar! The ingredients are usually cheap, especially if you use Costco and get chips and soda too.

Taco bar. Chili. Pasta/lasagna. Sandwich tray with veg and fruit. It really depends on how much effort you want to put into preparing food vs what you want the food costs to be.

We do hot dogs, pasta salad (the suddenly salad kind), baked beans, and chips. You can do the hot dogs in the broiler and stick them in a roaster pan and the rest you can do ahead of time. Cheap and easy is my way!

Taco/nacho bar! Crock-Pot keeps main ingredient warm. I've also done sub trays from Casey's gas stations, delicious. Have them put veggies on the side, much better!

I like to do a pasta bar. have a couple different types of cooked pasta, a red sauce and a white sauce, and then some protein if it’s in the budget (I usually do chicken and frozen meatballs). People love to mix and match and dress up their meal themselves! You can also add salad and bread.

We did a hotdog bar for my daughters Mickey Mouse club house themed birthday. Cheap and time saver so you aren’t in the kitchen or over a bbq the whole party. Just put the hot dogs in a crock pot with just a bit of water and put on high till plump and hot. Then back down to low or warm. I did green salad, Mac salad and chips. Then had toppings like cheese, chili, onions, etc.
