Anyone who already works full time and picked up a side gig on the weekends decide it wasn't worth being away from your family? Is the little bit extra you are making worth all of life's moments your missing out on?

In my opinion it isn’t worth it. No one puts in an obituary that you are debt free. They do, however, talk about all the fun moments they had with you.

I dog sit and dog walk as a side gig , I determine when I do it, the frequency and it often allows me to stay at home or I’m only gone for less than an hour .

It depends on your priorities. I considered a side gig but found I was able to sacrifice certain wants to save the same amount of money a second job would offer. Not to mention, I was able to keep my time.

I signed up for Rover so all of the work is mostly done at my home. I do occasionally do check ins out of home, but those are only 30 or 60 mins at a time.

In my opinion, no. The point for me is to be more present and with my family. Less work but enough income to pay needs/wants is the goal. so I work from home for now + Do side business at home or around my kids

I feel like if it's something that's only a couple hours and for a short time (like a couple months) and you have a lot of debt then yes it's worth it.

For me no it's not worth it . But I have a cousin who started working w 2 kids in daycare . All her money goes to daycare except 30 dollars . she thinks that 30 extra bucks is worth it . I don't know if she has debt but 30 bucks isn't worth it for me !

My side gig is paying for daycare unfortunately. If my child didn’t yell at me and sing every time I was on a call I’d just wfh and save the money.

I think it depends. I am working 6 days a week most weeks for 2020, but my husband and I have made the time during the week and sundays. But we don’t have any kids yet, so this is our grinding and sacrifice year to get ahead

I picked up a gig at the grocery store. 18-20 hours and no more. But my kid is 12 and only wants to talk on phone and play video games lol

I did it for 12yrs, 12 summers gone that I will never get back, when my kids were small, 12 summers of 530am-1pm. 12 summers of free fruit/veggies and extra cash. Do it again? Not every Saturday and even then, it would be a stretch! Life is too short and I've got 12 summers to make up for with my kids
