Things I’ve done so far to better our lives since finding TBM last month: •switched amazon prime to prime student- (WONT cancel because being overseas. Amazon is a lifesaver) •bought reusable ziplocks-no more plastic ziplock bags •started using the diva cup instead of tampons •canceled subscriptions (bark box, chegg, grammerly, HBO, Starz and many more) •informed my family I WILL NOT be doing holidays or birthdays this year, in effort to pay off ALL debt and save for a trip that was already planned •got serious about couponing and buying local produce (which is cheaper than commissary) •cut utility costs by not running water for to long and turning off (&unplugging) when not in a room •bought eco friendly plates, no more plastic or glass (my gf tends to brake the glass ones ‍♀️) •selling things we don’t use or need •no more plastic bottles ( hydro flasks are life) •downloaded Supercook app so I can utilize and cook what we already have (only spent $30 on food so far this month) •started Roth IRA •changed our cleaning lady from bi-weekly to once a month ($65 isn’t horrible and can fit into our budget) •bought dryer balls (suggested by Miko) no more dryer sheets •making the most out of savings with amazons subscribe and save. I get our wash pods, cat litter, vitamins, and cat food delivered monthly now. Costs less and saves me gas •contemplating selling my empanadas for extra cash as a side hustle (haven’t decided yet because school and 5 animals keeps me pretty busy ) I’m sure there’s more I can’t think of right now, but this is just a small (longish) list of how my life has changed in just a month with TBM. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the year goes. Here’s to a better financial & debt free future! How has TBM changed your life so far?

I have been on this journey since October. I have totally switched the way I do things. Tonight I even updated my budget by bills that are most important. First you're 4 walls, monthly, debt, family (optional and to see what I spend). Since October, I have changed all of expenses, switched to generic, redone all of our services to be the best price possible, cut everything that we truly don't need, switched my business to no fees and to be more profitable, picked up a part-time job to help us, and today I got my haircut no blow dry $8 saved lol. You change your ways you change your life. Ok I am done lol.

@piccoloist84175 best recommendation for beauty is to use up what you have and only buy when your almost out on sale. Don’t buy doubles. Pomferia oil is great for acne and I suffer from it horrible.
by (860 points)
That's great! Fix internally with aloe too. Pomferia is cruelty free and made here in the US.

@piccoloist84175 I was getting monthly facials but have since switched to every other month and so far so good I just keep up my beauty routine at home.

Reusable ziplocks?!? Link?
by (3.7k points)
@piccoloist84175 we bought a few (from Target) for my daughters lunch but have a hard time truly replacing ziploc bags due to fear of using for an onion and then after using it for cheese. Nervous the smell we linger. Any tips?

@piccoloist84175 girl I get you. I stopped pedicures and nails. I am not going to lie it was hard been doing that since 15, but just the thought of all that money over the years made me feel some type of way.

I think this is wonderful. I’m a big fan of the silicone storage/freezer bags. I pick up a few every time I’m at Target. Eventually, I’ll have no disposable storage. I just started using Static Nails for my at home manicure. Holy moly. Look them up. I’m beyond impressed.

@piccoloist84175 I used to be one of those Extreme Coupon people. I loved it. It was my drug for a bit.

Isn’t changing to a menstrual cup AMAZING?!?!  also kudos to you for also making changes that not only help you save money, but may even be better for the environment!

@piccoloist84175 you could also try a disposable product called Flex. Similar to a diaphragm. It definitely takes some time to learn your own anatomy to be able to place the cup appropriately to prevent leaking, but it’s super worth it IMO
by (5.7k points)
@neap honestly k feel free af with it  thought it was super weird at first, but after having a child I knew I didn’t want to go back to regular feminine products. Also, it helps reduce cramping so much!

Making the switch to reusables is such a great way to help the budget and the planet! Having a designated water bottle and backup is such a money saver. I invested in some Stasher bags around Christmas time and have been using them ever since. For Planet and Budget!

Can u explain to me how amazon subscriptions saves you money
by (2.2k points)
@unmoral my dog food alone pays for my Amazon subscription. I was paying $18 for a 12 pound bag every two weeks. Now I subscribe to an order on Amazon and get a 24 pound bag for $15 once a month. In addition to that, come Christmas, I get almost all my presents off Amazon. They have really great lightning deals every day and especially for kids in my family we can get them a good gift for like $10 that would normally be $30-$40 and they don"t know the difference. It's also the only place we can consistently buy Body Armour for my boyfriend in bulk. Saves about $0. 50 a bottle and he gets 24 a month.

@kohler make sure to check prices before the auto shipment occurs. I have found the same item cheaper from other buyers before and end up delaying my shipment and double check prices again the next month.
by (2.2k points)
@droshky I check but I’ve yet to find a cheaper one

I'm not gonna lie, I never think if ziplocs as disposable. Growing up, my parents always washed and reused ours and that's how I thought everyone used them. ‍♀️
