My son graduates from high school in June. Next week, I will have the party fully funded. I'm starting to make a list of decorations, food and other items we will need. A question came up while discussing the snacks. Was thinking to buy the large bags of chips (like 4 or 6). But, then when they are open, the remainder of the bus will go stale. I also have severe food allergies and cant have anything with corn (Doritos or Fritos type chips) opened near me. So we were thinking of the individual bags of chips, like what you can get at BJs or Costco. So, cost wise, it's close to the same price. But, has anyone ever done this for a party? Would it seem "cheap"? About 75 people will be invited. Thank you!

I think you’re overthinking this. That would be fine. Not cheap.

If you're having teenagers, chances are good that you'll have no leftovers

Not cheap at all. I’ve always done it that way, there’s variety and portion control!

Go for the individual. More varieties, less people digging around and making messes when serving themselves, etc. I feel like those are sort of a fancy option and not cheap at all!

I agree that it is fancy!

Thank you everyone! I like the idea of individual bags and less mess!

No and less germs of people reaching in a bowl or bag of chips. You can buy variety and everyone will find something they like.

I like the individual bags you could put them in a basket or something? Plus this way you have variety for everyone!
