What was your 1st Birthday party budget and how did you break it down? I am going to edit to add: we plan to not do any other big parties but this is going to be big and special so skipping isn’t an option  My husband is in the military and will be coming home after three months of training so we will be celebrating him as well and this may be the only birthday my son has as a child near family. So it’s going to be BIG ❤️ but I want to budget as best as possible.

We do huge first birthdays and after that do the smaller ones. My daughters first birthday we spent $1100 but there were around 120 people and we went all out with decor and everything. Then we used they decor and redid her nursery with it into a “big girl” room. She’s almost 5 and the decor is still up and she loves it!

I also skipped a first party. I spent the money on cake smash photos. And love them. I don’t regret that at all, and wish I had done it for my first baby.

100 bucks. We did a "winter ONEderland" theme. This was for food and decorations for about 25 people (adults and kids). She also got 3 gifts from us (this is our number for bday and Christmas gifts each year). That was maybe $50

I didn't celebrate until he turned 5 because I dont remember my 1st birthday and dont think they will either but that's a personal choice. I saved up as much as I could and he had a time of his life. We had mario, Luigi, and princess peach, a jumper, catered food, pinata, and a cake! The characters took care of the activities, party was done at the park.

We spent $150. Had a get together with our closest family/friends. Served finger foods, I made their cupcake cakes and that also includes decorations and gifts. We did wild one theme for our son and Aurora in ONEderland for our daughter a friend gifted us their birthday outfits because she makes tutus/shirts

We spent around $150. we were gifted the venue by our daycare provider (it was there venue) and bought dollar store dishes for serving, tablecloths, and plates etc. Bought a nice sheet cake, helium tank for the balloons, custom onesies for the boys, chips, pizza, and beer and wine for adults

I personally spend about $150 - $200 for a birthday party. That includes Decorations A meal for guests (appetizers, sides, main course) Cupcakes Smash cake (for first bday) Party Favors The gift for the child My MIL gifted us first birthday photos, but that's something else to consider if you want them done, or if you have a friend/family member with a camera that you could borrow.

I’m 9 months away from my LO’s party but, I’m looking at everything now so I can budget appropriately. I’m planning on no more than $500 but that’s on the high end. We also have a lot of family so it will be big as well

My was born on superbowl weekend 11 years a go so his 1st birthday was superbowl themed. I bought plates, cups and napkins of the teams that were in the SB. I had lost my job a month before so I was so broke. I did pulled pork sandwiches by buying a pork butt on sale, buns I got from the bread store. Cake was home made.

We spent $275 for 25 people. We had it at our home and served homemade pulled pork sandwiches with a few side, a couple appetizers and had beer and wine. Food and alcohol was around $100. I got the beer and wine at Trader Joe’s to save money. We splurged on a cake (with a smash cake) from an expensive bakery ($75). It was so beautiful and delicious. Totally worth it! We also paid $100 for a photographer to take photos at the party and while our little one did her smash cake. Again, this was a splurge but SO SO worth it. The photographer got so many amazing photos that I never would have been paying attention to get. I think budgeting for things like this is absolutely worth it especially if it’s your one big party that you do.

I am planning a "Wild ONE" party for my niece. My budget is $500. Room is at a local park ($60). Getting a smash cake with cupcakes ($75). My friend who does photos as a hobby is donating her time to take pictures. We plan to have finger foods and pulled pork sandwiches. No alcohol, park rules. We plan to make a lot of the decor with my Cricut machine and supplies I have accumulated over the years.
