I have been married for 2 years now. And of course my husband debts (only 2k) are mine too. But personally I have never been into debt. Not for school, nothing. I am from Italy so it can explain why and I came to live here 3 months ago. My question is; I would like to build my credit since i don’t have one at the moment, how can I start doing that?

Bills in your name and a credit card. Always make payments on time and in full.

You can get a credit card and put some small bills like your phone bill on it. Just make sure to pay it on time :)

I also have one more question, yes I was aware of asking for a small loan and paying off with the money itself of the loan, is that correct ? Also for the moment I am a full time mom and student so my husband is the only one that works, can I ask in a loan in that way too? I don’t want to get into debt at all. I was raised like that and my husband agrees with me he made poors decisions in his life before he meets me but he know better now. So we are looking for the best option for me

A credit card would be the best way to raise your score as long as you use it appropriately. If you aren’t wanting any debt (technically it all is but there’s ways around the credit card like paying it down every time) I wouldn’t get a loan. That would be something you are REQUIRED to pay for months or years. The credit card is monthly, if you use it monthly.
