Mine is a yearly fee so I set up a sinking fund. Put $11 a month away and in Dec 2020 I will have paid the yearly fee

Find out how much roadside assistance is through your car insurance. You usually get better coverage cheaper.

This! My insurance offers really good coverage for like $6 every six months. The downside is I pay out of pocket and they reimburse me. But it’s soooooo much cheaper so it’s worth it to me. (If you switch and will have to pay out of pocket save that $13 a month into a sinking fund so you have the cash to pay upfront. )

You can always sign up and use it for most cases same day.

We have it due to my wife traveling 40 miles one way for work. She works 12 hr shifts as a nurse. Her shift is over at 10pm, but sometimes when they are busy and she get through it’s midnight or after.

I do. Will never cut it as long as I’m a single mom with three teen drivers in a state with no family.

I actually split mine with my sister. I have her as my extra adult. Then we both only pay like $65 a year or whatever. If my hubby ever needed it, Id just call anyways so its no big deal that he's not on our AAA plan. Maybe find someone to split the cost with :) Some years I never use it, and other years I use the crap out of it for tows and when i lock my keys in my car and such
