I just started the BPP method on Friday 2/28. I was feeling really good! Well I had all this stuff post to my debit account so it skewed my starting balance and messed up my expense tracker for March. Ugh. So frustrating. I think I'm just gonna start my expense tracker this Friday the 6th so that everything will have posted to my checking account and I can start fresh. I still have plenty of money just messed up some of my plans for savings. I find the expense tracker to be the hardest part BUT the part I want to use cuz I'm always asking where did we spend all of our money?! System is down at work so figured I might as well vent

Yay! Congratulations on taking your first step to financial freedom!  And welcome all messes! The less neat your budget worksheets look, the better! It just means you are constantly evaluating what works best for your budget and finances! That freaking tracker is like learning to ride a bike! It takes time and practice but you’ll feel every day the desire to ride/ write on it! Keep up the good work! And I’m with you!

I use my tracker as a check register, and highlight once it clears. But that way I know what my actual balance is and have an accurate starting balance.
