I recently left my job to go back to school to get my bachelors degree in nursing. I have 2 years left of school and I get my benefits for school through the VA from husband who transferred me them. A part of this is they pay you a monthly housing allowance, but only during your spring and fall semesters. The thought of being on one income during the "off" (summer and winter break) months makes me so nervous. I already am planning on making a sinking fund envelope for this, and stashing away as much as I can before the summer comes. I just know I'm not the first person who has been in a position like this, so any info is so very much appreciated!
