I just wanted to post a tip that has been really helpful for my husband and I lately! This group gave me amazing suggestions and tips to survive a no spend month. We still use one credit card for expenses and pay it off every month for things such as groceries (we do delivery since I have a new born). We get cash back every month and if we need something that doesn’t qualify to us as essential we use the cash back and spend $0. This month we just put our newborn in the crib and we got a mobile to help him settle himself to sleep. Was it essential? No, but it helped us sleep! I would recommend this for anyone who still uses a credit card for certain expenses. You can also save the cash back and use it towards the payment. Discover cards have amazing cash back and that’s one of the reasons we haven’t gotten rid of it permanently!
