Question, and please ONLY answer if you strictly tithe 10% of your income (not just donating a random amount of money each paycheck): do you tithe on net or gross? If you tithe on net, do you also tithe on your tax return? Thanks!

Gross so we’ve already tithed on tax return. First fruits is my reasoning, and it’s all His anyway. If you’re being prayerful and obedient/generous/cheerful/sacrificial that’s the main thing

I also teach my daughter to tithe on her gross allowance amount (she "gets paid" once a month, and we round her up to the next whole dollar).

10% gross, no tithe on tax returns. But really I probably should because I think I get back more in taxes than I pay.

Gross. And on the difference of the surplus we get back beyond just the actual tax refund part (child credits, etc. )

We tithe on gross and do not tithe on the tax return because we already turned on it.

I tithe on my net so what I bring home. I do tithe on my taxes too since I don’t tithe on it through the year. Next year I will start owing though since I work solely as a contractor now.

This is so inspiring. I LOVE seeing so many @video925tians here. I experienced some church hurt and have stopped tithing. But, I want to start again because I feel convicted. I dont have a home church anymore becsuse I left the one church and I work Sundays. Im looking for a new job where I dont have to work Sundays because i need to be fed. Any advice? Please and thank you.

@hibben739 I'm not @video925tian however I worked with a girl who was. She requested Sundays off due to religious reasons and they approved it. (I'm in Canada) you could always try that

@wiggle7397 I tried. They wont approve it which is why Im job hunting.

@hibben739 I'm really sorry to hear that. I wish you the best on your job search. Hopefully the next place will be more respectful of your religious practices ❤️

I was wondering this as well. I tithe what I take home and was gonna tithe 10% of taxes, but I have to pay taxes back. I’m not sure what the right way is.

I tithe every week on the net. I don’t receive tax refunds because we apply it to next years taxes.

We tithe on our gross and don't on our return. Anything else we get, like husband's bonus, we tithe the gross amount as well.

We tithe 10% on our gross. And more on our time. God wants our first fruits. We have never been as blessed as we are now! God is Good!

We believe first fruits is tithing on gross. We don’t tithe on our return but we always give from it.

Currently we tithe on net, but will mostly likely be switching to gross. Yes we will tithe from tax return no matter if we tithe on net or gross throughout the year.

Tithe 10% on net and return and any money I randomly get, whether it's $20 for bday etc. One day I hope to be able to get to tithing on gross, because that's truly our money even if we're not physically paying our taxes and insurance, but we are barely making it as it is and I feel like God is proud of us and we're doing the best we can!
