Any other military spouses in the house♀️? I feel like we are a community within the community, we love budgeting! Anyway, my husband is going on a rotation and I’m interested in hearing ideas on how to manage finances with one person not in the loop. I’m the saver and primary “do-er” of all the things. I am concerned though about all the miscellaneous financial needs about being overseas like: cell phones, WiFi, personal needs, meals, etc. This isn’t our first rodeo with that but we would like to be more financially smart about it. My husband has a GTC (government credit card) I do not like those things at all. Too many stories of the army not paying back. He leaves soon and I’m thinking of budgeting $200 to get him set up over there. And then try to adjust accordingly. Thoughts?
