I bought my Chrysler 300 brand new in 2009. It was close to the end of the model year, it had been a trade from another dealer (still new), and had been around for a couple of months. Because it was an "aged unit", it had special rebates on it, which just took care of the negative equity in my trade. But this was also during the recession, and Chrysler was putting Lifetime Powertrain Warranties on certain vehicles that were manufactured between certain dates. Mine was one of those. I used to drive a lot for an old job, and I've still got the same 300, with 227000 miles on it. It ate a transmission, which was covered by the powertrain warranty. Other than regular maintenance, there's not been any major issues. I've taken care of it, and it's also been used and abused, but it's still going. I sooooooo want to get something different, but I really can't justify the payments on a new vehicle. Lol I said when I bought Tank (that's my car's name), that I was going to drive it until the wheels fell off, so I guess I'll just keep driving it. Long story short, new vehicles aren't terrible. But you have to be smart about the purchase. ♀️
