Regarding the $5 savings challenge: What are you saving this $$ for? I’m trying to decide where to designate this money at the end of the year.

Luckily my neighbors are letting us link up with theirs so we only need one side. Should be about 700 dollars

@linneman we’re in a similar situation with our backyard

I put some of my money for my emergency fund so I have it in cash and then will use the remainder to fund some sinking funds

@hiro5217 your emergency fund?!

@pearliepearline so I just have a checking and a savings account. I keep a $900-1000 cushion in my checking, but otherwise I spend cash. everything I save from envelopes or challenges goes to my savings account where my emergency fund is also included!

We’re gonna wait and see where we are at come nov/dec. If we need it to top up Christmas because we have just started the journey or can we put it into savings.

My boyfriend and I will likely be getting engaged in the near future, so I am stashing away my small bills and change as savings for an eventual wedding

I’m going to see how much I can save until Christmas if I need more then I will top it off. If the world can get back together and have a little bit of normalcy maybe me and my husband can go on a mini vacation.

I'm waiting until the end of the year to see how much I save, then I will decide where to put it. It will just depend on where we are at the time.

Ours will go towards Christmas or we’re planning one-on-one weekends with the kids. It may go towards that.

To fund Christmas gifts. I’m hoping to not even have to touch my Christmas sinking fund so that Christmas 2021 will already be funded!

Either towards a Disney vacation in 2021/2022 or towards a car for my daughter. She turns 16 next October.

Saving till the end of the year. I combine it with my side hustle money as well. So depending on how everything goes with the world lol either vacation or throwing it into our new house fund

If my boyfriend proposes soon (which he better lol) it will go towards the wedding. if he doesn't I'm putting it towards a new car or adding it to my house savings fund.

We’re going to put it towards decorating / buying stuff for my little boys room when he moves. He’s in the nursery at the moment and we hope he’ll have a little brother or sister next year so will need to go to the big bedroom. I found I was completely unmotivated until I knew what I was putting it towards. Although now we’ve had to stop spending cash it’s not been added to for a long while x
