I guess you could say I am trying to add more to my savings but I am already doing 20% of each check with is about $450 every 2 weeks + 200$ for vacation money. Overall I save $1, 100 a month. This does not include my 401k. I also contribute to that seperately. Then I give myself about $500 for food for 2 ppl $500 for fun activities $$ The rest goes to bills. I am trying to cut back on my "fun" spending for now and some of my food bills. My S. O thinks I am trying to over budger myself. He said as long as I continue to do the 20% on each check, we are fine. Do you guys just do a lump sum a month, then pay off bills and whatever is left, spend it? He says I am over complicating things. We are both good with money, but lately I have been on a SAVING SPREE! lol Edit: We don’t own a house so I’m saving for that, we rent and we aren’t married and I would love to have a wedding, one day so I’m saving for that too!
