Most just track their net pay on the trackers. Not all of their deductions.

I track the final amount I get. I dont "budget" the items that are taken out. but if you wanted to keep a separate tracker so you can count your total savings amount that would be good. Just make sure you're not taking it out if the take home amount.

I would hate to look at the numbers each month of everything taken out. we have over 3k taken out in taxes, medical, vision, dental, union dues, prepaid lawyer. railroad retirement items, 401k, company stock. ♀️ Track what you bring home;-)

I only track what comes home because it is always the exact same deductions and there is no point in me doing all that math.

I have all my bills set for closer to the end of the month. And the first half of the next month. So technically I’m ahead on bills. I like to just use one tracker and track everything on one I don’t break up paychecks why to many steps for me.

Ok everyone I am doing my feb budget and noticing that the second and third week of the month I will be stort of a bill and groceries for the week.but the first and and 4th week I have extra money and the bills can't be moved sooo I was thinking for the paying the 2 small bills that don't fit in second paycheck with paycheck 1 and just pay early (if money is left hubby WILL spend it) and for third week using my credit card to cover groceries and last bill then paying it off on the fourth week?

Things I’ve done so far to better our lives since finding TBM last month: •switched amazon prime to prime student- (WONT cancel because being overseas.Amazon is a lifesaver) •bought reusable ziplocks-no more plastic ziplock bags •started using the diva cup instead of tampons •canceled subscriptions (bark box, chegg, grammerly, HBO, Starz and many more) •informed my family I WILL NOT be doing holidays or birthdays this year, in effort to pay off ALL debt and save for a trip that was already planned •got serious about couponing and buying local produce (which is cheaper than commissary) •cut utility costs by not running water for to long and turning off (&unplugging) when not in a room •bought eco friendly plates, no more plastic or glass (my gf tends to...

First time post but wondering what you guys do when your monthly mortgage payment goes down due to taxes/escrow(not entirely sure why but I feel like the start of every year it either goes up or down slightly) I still have our previous amount budgeted but should I adjust down (thinking not) or continue to make my previous payment amount and apply the additional to principle(?)
