Agree it does look nice! But quality wise, hardwood is so much better. If you were staying there long term, I’d say do whatever YOU like, but since you hate the house as a whole, I think you’re wise to focus on retaining the value and just trying to live with it for a short time. Our house is also 100 years old, at first I loved all the character, but now I kind of hate how old it looks and how complicated simple updates seem to be. We are planning to move in 2-3 years and will definitely buy a newer home or maybe even a new construction.
