For those who are sales consultants for direct sales and do home parties (there's a name, but not sure of it), how do you stay on budget? I find myself buying things to try out so I can truly walk the walk. I don't need them, but it helps when customers ask questions. Thank you!

❤️ Create a wishlist - Chances are if your side hustle is a MLM then you’ll need a monthly order of some sort. Do the minimum of what gets you paid. The rest, get what’s on your wishlist next month. Then the month after. ❤️ Open a separate bank account- Do this early on and you’ll be able to use commissions to pay for what you want. But still, stick to your wishlist. Order what you need for your home and to get paid. ❤️ repurpose funds you would have spent elsewhere. - (I work with health & wellness products and the money I spent at target on cleaners or household items before my business, I just repurposed into my monthly order now). It’s not spending MORE, it’s just putting it to work for me. ❤️ Have a savings plan for your business - When you get a big bonus check or big commissions, DO NOT spend more because you made more. Bank it. Stick to your wishlist, continue sharing your passion and the money will follow. When I first started my check was $13 (obviously not a lot I could purchase with that , but now some months my checks are $13k-17k, I try to treat it like it was still $13.

MLM (multi level marketing)? I use dōTerra products (and it’s my side hustle). I set a budget each month for household items (which is what they are for us. All our shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, etc) and stick to it. Fortunately I earn a lot of free points for items too.

I have a separate bank account for it and I also do PNL reports each month to make sure I am profitable. I put a certain amount aside each month for me to get new styles released. You can also use it for taxes. I am able to write off what I keep for tax purposes. It doesn’t save a ton on taxes, but if you’re running your side hustle like a true business you need to account for those funds by keeping them separate and showing profit and loss.

I’ve been a top earner in this industry for 8 1/2 years- I’ve built to the top of 2 companies and have been in the top 1% of each one I’ve been with. I tell you that so I can give you some credibility when I say- do what fits your budget. Your success will never be dependent on how many products you use and buy. Do you need to be a product of the product? Yes. But pick 1 or 2 to start with and if anyone asks you about others, simply find out for them. I have such a heart for this industry and we were BROKE when I started. I had to do things cheap and simple and it 100% worked- people will buy YOU bc if your excitement and authenticity. ❤️❤️❤️
