I've tried over and over on the cash envelopes and just can't get it. I stopped using them and balance fine without them. can anyone point me to a good, clear video or link explaining how to close out using cash envelopes. I have watched tbm videos over and over and I'm missing something! I know we don't count that cash I pulled out to stuff the envelopes. but. do I count the cash that is left in the envelopes and. put it where? I need a "dummy" lesson on this!

If you have some left over, you can either roll it over to the next period and take out less cash from the account for that envelope, or you can put it to savings. Miko typically saves hers ans then at the end of the month, what ever was left over she puts it into her house savings

Or you could put it towards debt. It's up to you what you do with it if you don't roll it over.

So. I don't include the deduction anywhere? Say for example I withdrawl $100 on payday . I write it on my checking account tracking sheet but I don't count it when closing out at the end of the month?
