Question

Question about points on an American Express card. I have paid my Delta Skymiles Amex off. However, I just added a flight on Delta to it. Does anyone know how long it has to stay there before I can pay the balance off and still get the skymiles? I have the cash to pay the ticket off, I just need to know if I have to wait until the next billing cycle to pay it off or can I do it immediately?

If your statement is currently reflecting $0, you'll have to wait until the purchase post (& not be in pending status). As for as the points, amex is usually a billing cycle off so it wont reflect until your next billing cycle for that particular card or once the purchase post you can make a payment and your points could update then. I have 4 amex cards and 1 works differently than the other.
