Anyone traded in an Amazon Fire tablet through Amazon? The trade in estimate they gave me was only $5-$10! Is that just the minimum they give everybody or would I really be better off selling it myself?

We did a trade in. It's not much, but if you are in the market for a new fire, you can get a discount on it along with the trade in. We actually had 2 old tablets of my daughter's, and we got about $20 off, as well as an old one of mine which I got $15 for. Then we got like 30 percent off a new one and ended up only spend abut $30 for it. So it could work in your favor.

@phifer518 mine is like 3 years old and my kids cracked the screen over the weekend. I'm wanting to get the kid version so we dont get video purchases by surprise by our 7year old who knows the code lol

Lol It might be worth it. They do have the yearly replacement option, which won't help now, lol. My kid broke hers quite a few times :)

@phifer518 I'm amazed mine has made it 3 years with 3 kids using it constantly and this was the first time it's even gotten a scratch lol

Lol We had to transition to a Samsung tablet because our kid got into games and youtube videos, and I've been terrified since then because there is no replacement plan. lol

How old is it? You can get a new one for around $50-$70, so just from my experience working with electronics and taking trade-ins, that doesn't seem too low to me. You might have better luck selling it on your own though.

Check out target trade in and see how much they offer.

Never tried it but I didn’t know it existed. My daughter has a very old one that hardly had any space (surprised it still turns on) .
