Do anyone buy their insurance for 6 months or a year? How much do you save and who do you go through? I think I would save a whole lot and be able to really knock some bills down with buying 6 months to a year and then applying that to my routine.

I pay mine once a year for an annual policy. Bigger savings this way. I also have my car & renters insurance at the same company for a discount. I work in insurance and always recommend you see an independent insurance agency who can quote through multiple companies for you. Make sure to ask about any available discounts, too.

I paid every 6 months for years. It saved me between $30-$80 for the time. I switched my homeowners and car insurance to a new company that cut our rates in half, but I had to pay the full year.

We pay for 6 months. It’s $183 a month. That’s for two full coverage cars with Geico. $1100 is the total amount and had we decided to do month to month payments it would’ve made our monthly payment 271$ so we save a little bit per month doing it that way. Hope that helps.

We pay every six months for Ameriprise through Costco. No discount for paying annually. Our homeowners is with Lemonade, monthly autopay with no discount for annual payments. Both policies are much, much cheaper than AAA, which they replaced.
