I didn’t budget for Girl Scout cookies! I saved my cash envelope left over money from last month so I will probably be replenishing my envelopes with that instead of saving it. But at least I have cookies

I bought some in Jan and just took it out of my grocery budget  I'm 7 months pregnant and may have gone a little over board ($50 on cookies! ‍♀️) but I was still $4 under my grocery budget so I say I did pretty good!

Not terrible, had an unexpected pharmacy bill but was able to cover it with the small cushion I built.

Went over on my budget due to unexpected childcare expenses. Decided to increase childcare budget for my next paycheck so even the “worst case” amount is covered then whatever is left over can be put into my sinking funds and I don’t have to rob Peter to pay Paul

Staying in budget except for the deposit we put down for beef. A quarter of cow. We haven't eaten out yet this month and kids like the new recipes I'm cooking. It was nerve racking to see $2000 leave my account in one day to pay all the bills for the week.  But we had the money to do it at once.

A miscue at the beginning of the month had me transferring $from savings to cover drivers ed. Then I was going through last year’s bill folder and found a list of all debts. I decided to do it again and found that a little over a year later we’ve paid down almost $25K. I wouldn’t have had any money to transfer nor would I have paid that much down before TBM. So grateful!

I’m trying to get this cash thing down and I’m having some issues. I’m used to using my card. To be completely honest though, I just need to make more money.  (Aaaaand as I type this, here I am taking an unpaid day off to take care of stuff ‍♀️  )

Great! I ran some errands today, and brought my Fun Money with me. I almost grabbed a slice of pizza, but decided against it. So I’ll save the cash for a time when I really want something, instead of spending the cash because I have it.

Doing much better than last month, though it's always hard after the holidays for us. But the budget did not take a major hit because we planned things out and stuck with a budget!

I’m good now but see that end of month may be right or off. Trying to tighten up now and put money away if it’s short. Don’t want to be short and not have gas money or grocery money

Kind of crazy playing catch-up unexpectedly had to travel last week for my grandmas funeral thankfully my mom paid for ticket and everything there. (Bonus I had a week of paid vacation so getting paid still ) But paid a friends daughters to basically be me and get the kids taken care of because hubs schedule isn’t set. They were amazing and this wouldn’t have been possible without them their mom said we didn’t have to pay them but I just couldn’t of it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have been able to go and it was an amazing yet hard trip. Grandpa sent me home with money so hubs and I got a much needed date night/his b day dinner/ valentine’s dinner since we never go out without the kids. Grandpa sent me home with enough we finished funding our road trip for this summer to go back and visit. ($600 making our final goal of 3K complete) Though we knew a check was coming the amount was unknown and we weren’t counting on it a settlement check came in for $1500 and added that to EF. All feb bills are paid and have 1/2 March mortgage payment set aside Only current debt is mortgage Currently saving for Christmas and a wedding next year. Have multiple revolving sinking funds and all currently in good/ok standing. Haven’t been throwing a lot into our savings account this year. So that’s not positive but I think we’re ok with where we are right now.

Had to readjust because of missing a week of work unexpectedly but hopefully it will even itself back out. Also thought I was only going to get 2200 in taxes but ended up with 4200! Most will be going into savings for a new car

We are doing pretty good so far. Week 1: Shopped our Pantry/Fridge/Freezer for all meals. Week 2: Meal Prepped & spent less than $150 for 5 of us & Hubby is bringing lunch/pop from home (not swiping card at vending machine). Also we have really been more cautious of our spending in general. So really its not terrible. Next week is what makes me a little nervous but we should be okay

I'm a week by week budgeter thanks thanks to my husband's paychecks and so far (knock wood) I'm doing well this month. I was over with some spending this week, but have 'made up for it' with some FB Marketplace sales (thinned my yarn stash to the tune of $25 so far). I also had a decent cushion going into this week and my husband's check this week was good. :)

too overwhelmed. I would do the budget and Hubby would pay the bills. But that gives me anxiety because always gives me averages for what he paid. So I told him I’ll pay the bills and do the budget. At least until we get the hang of everything lol. He’s trying but maybe I’m a control freak. Lol

Good so far I think. my husband spent 15$ at taco bell but that's it! The other purchases we've made have been with our envelop funds AND I was accepted a personal loan to pay off 2 credit cards for less than what we usually pay for. This year's goal is to save and increase my husband's credit

I’m doing great! I’ve had a cold that’s causing crazy fatigue which means I haven’t been wanting to go anywhere. Means no spending, if I try to look in the bright side of not feeling well. Working as a substitute teacher today and it’s been really draining. Want to go take a nap!

I took my kids out for a reward treat and let them spend their commission, which also meant they came with me to grocery shop. Somehow we spent 2x the budget on each step. my husband was an ass the whole time and so I retaliated and didn't make anyone put anything back ‍♀️

I don't like to say I'm proud. but I haven't bounced a check or been late in paying bills - personal or business since I started in Jan. Saving is happening. BIG change. And best of all - I'm less stressed all around. My part-timers even commented how calm I seem even with Valentine's Day coming up (I'm a florist. ) Yes. I even budgeted for the inventory I needed to buy!

This is the first check of the first month & I've currently got $30 left. We had a few unexpected expenses come up & things are really tight as we wrap up. Wins  - I had $7. 25 left in my Food Envelope after the first week & had $100 for the second week. Went to Aldi & someone gave me their cart so I didn't use the quarter I had in my pocket. Well my total came to $107. 48 & I had exactly $107. 50 to spend! The cashier was super impressed lol. - I haven't dipped into our joint savings account for the first time in over a year - I had $22 left in cash today & ran out of diapers. I was able to get 2 packages for $21. 80 - I have a meal plan for the week, enough groceries & a full tank of gas so I don't need to worry about any of those - my husband has been telling me daily how proud of me he is - have kept to going grocery shopping only once a week  - I only grabbed coffee out once, still have enough for one more cup on my gift card but have been making my own at home (Aldi's coffee is GOOD! ) - even with things being tight, I'll have enough for my kiddo to bowl at his Valentine's Day party & bring fun Valentine's for all his little friends - I have everything I need to make a special dessert for my family on Friday & my husband is renting us a movie for after the kids are asleep. We're excited about our Valentine's date on a budget!  Struggles  - the trackers for the money I kept in my checking account got messed up & aren't equalling what I really have in there - I hope to have $20 left from this pay period but originally I'd planned to have at least $50 to start my emergency fund - this feeling of "am I gonna make it" without dipping into savings is kinda stressful - getting used to seeing such a low amount in my account without freaking out - staying home to conserve gas this week with 2 littles is kinda making me crazy  Might need to add a bit more to the gas budget or maybe get a gift card to use for those end of the check, Mama just needs to get out of the house days  Next Check  - I'm taking everything out of checking (except what I need to order more formula) because using my debit for some & not others is too confusing. That means I'll have to go into the gas station to pay with my preschooler & infant each time  but a stress free budget will be worth it! - having just food & miscellaneous envelopes didn't do me any favors. I definitely will be adding more categories next time

Good over here. I always end of overspending on my food budget but it all works out because I never spend my fun money or my $20 eating out budget. But today I splurged and spent $3. 90 on fries and vanilla cone from McDonalds. I’ve been thinking about the $3. 90 I spent all day long and what it could have gone towards.
