Filing Income Taxes* Should I do my own via TurboTax or go through my Credit Union? They do it for free, this is my first year with them (SECU) I’ve used TurboTax in the past with no issues.

Depending on your tax situation, TurboTax may end up wanting to upgrade you and charge. You can always go through TurboTax and not file. You can compare the refund amounts through your credit union and turbo tax. I ended up using HR Block last year and this year because last year I qualified for a health care credit (1095-A) turbo tax wanted wouldn’t let me file that document without upgrading last year. HR on the other hand allowed me to which gave me an added $450 towards my refund. So definitely look at your options!

Turbo charged me $120 this year. If I was smart enough I would of saved that money and went through somewhere else
