Hi we have just moved house and there is a horrible brown stain/deposit in the toilet. I have tried bleach, coke and denture cleaning tablets so far. Any other suggestions please ?

Black Harpic. Empty the toilet of water (I use an old towel to soak it up). Pour the Harpic up under the rim as well as in the bowl. Leave it overnight (or at least for a couple of hours). Scrub with the toilet brush and flush.

Astonish/harpic toilet tabs are amazing! Just pop them in and leave overnight, or black harpic toilet bleach then keep a bloo toilet block under the lid so keeps limescale away with each flush XX

I used cheap soap powder and bleach. Spray the bleach around the toilet bowl then sprinkle the soap powder on top of the bleach . leave to soap as long as possible. Then give the toilet a good scrub with the brush. Repeat until clean

Chlorine tablets. Open a window though for the love of god. In prison we got given them by the prison officers to put in a bucket of water and if a cell was getting grotty we’d slap a load in the bog open a window and in an hour it’d be like new. Just please close the bathroom door and open a window and put the extractor fan on because it will leave you crying! In substitute to this id probably moss and mildew spray from astonish. Less than a quid, pour a whole bottle down there. That’s chlorine based

Limescale remover, leave overnight and scrub in morning should remove it all. I used a liquid one from the £shop. Tip the whole bottle in before I go bed and flush in morning. Comes up like new, I'm in a hard water area so needs to be done every few months

I moved into a house with the same problem. Bleach etc wouldn't work. I bought "spirit of salts" from a hardware store. Jammed a plastic bottle bottom of toilet emptied existing water in bowl. Then poured 3 bottle SofS down it only cost £21 at the time and it was the only thing that cleared it o now use harpick black so it never reappears.
