Hi all, can anyone help me. I really want a good hoover i dont have pets but i have two children and there basically as messy and as wild as  i hoover daily and the mess always seems to be still there. Im looking for a brilliant hoover to dp the job first time. Get to corners be easy and effortless to pop in and out of the cupboard or i will literally avoid hoovering of its bulky and messy. I currently had a Henry and its so heavy and annoying. I would like a pull out part to do my skirtings and stairs now and then. I have £200 but wouldn't want to just spend it all on say a shark. Does anyone know of any hoovers from £20 to £200 that's actually a punchy wee bargain? Or if ur advice is go expensive and get a better result. All help needed? Thank you ❤️
Hi all, can anyone help me.

Sorry but I’d get a shark - I’ve tried so many vacuum cleaners over the years and it’s by far the best

@maxama what one. Does it matter? Xx

Swan defo. I have 3 feral kids and it's so easy to just pop off the mount and run round. I have the hyper clean think I paid about 150 and comes with different tools and converts to handheld. Many people will disagree but my shark was crap
by (2.4k points)
@bacardi can u pop a picture of it from Google on here so i can see and look it up please? Xxx
by (2.9k points)
@sheugh there is also a corded version but obviously that's a lot bulkier x
by (2.4k points)
@bacardi can u do ur house in one charge give or take? Does it suck up alot? Xxx
by (2.9k points)
Yeah I have a 2 bed house and manage to do my whole house including stairs. Theres a max mode too and easily changes settings with a button. You also dont have to hold the power trigger either. Cleaning is super easy too just pop it all out and wash under water. I have had many hoovers (blew a few up‍♀️) but this is defo my favourite x

I have had various cheaper cleaners over the years x I bought a shark a month ago x it is the anti hair corded one but with a lift away unit for stairs and edges X it is amazing X on the shark site you can pay in installments X or try and wait for a sale X mine was £199 in the sale X
by (2.4k points)
@rodger i tried to look at the instalments i couldn't see them
by (2.5k points)
@sheugh I think you had to go as far as payments and it gives you the option X you pay £50 a month till it is payed X I had 4 payments and my friend had 7 payments as hers was more expensive X
by (2.4k points)
@rodger do u get it before ur full paid?
by (2.5k points)
@sheugh yes X I paid first £50 then had it about 5 days later X other payments are a month apart from the first payment X

Shark light away. We got ours on a lightning deal on amazon prime. We also have no pets but 2 children and it's amazing. Have had it over a year now and never let us down. Just remember to empty regularly and clean the filters . Makes ur old carpets look new again by lifting the pile and hoover lines.

I can categorically tell you that the best hoover is Miele. Don’t be deceived by its old lady image. it’s the  testies. I’ve had them all. dyson up right and pull along, gtech air ram, shark lift away, Henry and NOTHING beats the Miele. I have the cat and dog purely because I love the brushes - they do a nice job on carpets and other floors. Dint worry about the expensive bags. eBay ones are perfect and a fraction of the cost. You will not regret it. It’s so easy to carry around the house and the hose pops off effortlessly. I was a cleaner for years and this is the best.

Miele or shark lift away I've got shark for house and miele for work as cleaner both are excellent
by (2.8k points)
@mckee any particular one?
by (3k points)
Miele cat and dog 1 is the one I have as it comes with turbo brush
by (3k points)
But any miele hoover is good I've had my one for about 8 years and not a problem with it at all
by (3k points)
@transferor22 this is similar to my 1
by (2.8k points)
@mckee ooooo i thought it was an upright x
by (3k points)
@transferor22 no that's the shark lift away I had miele 1st as its usually the cylinder hoovers I like its £149 from amazon
by (2.8k points)
@mckee have got hetty but i struggle to use this style hoover cause of my hips so need to go back to an upright x
by (3k points)
Shark lift away would be ideal then as it's quite light x

I have the bush cylinder Hoover and I've never known suction like it In fact its a bit too powerful because I can't " push" it . It almost lifts the carpets! It was only 33. 99 from Argos, reduced from 54. 99 a couple of months back

Have a look at reconditioned kirbys
by (2.3k points)
@doggish I've had mine 30 years and it was previously used by a landlady for 10 years. It's the best cleaning system ever . How many vacums are still going strong after 40 years
by (4.8k points)
@cavour I have the sentria love it I clean people's carpets but use a industrial rug doctor for the washing the kirby can soon fill up I also clean a few pubs

by (2.7k points)
@mindimindless49692 it’s pink to lol x
by (2.7k points)
@dedal8947 lol yes I love it I was wanting a shark but after reading the reviews on this Hoover I saved some money and got it its brilliant especially for the stairs as I had a Dyson ball upright previously which was a nightmare for doing the stairs
by (2.7k points)
@mindimindless49692 I’m surprised Henry hasn’t made a Hoover go down stairs they r best hoovers that y got a dyson when I got ill my Henry was to heavy on stairs but I use a stiff brush now way better than any hoover Do u remember the dirt devil that was good on stairs and really light x

Get a shark, but keep the Henry. I have a shark corded rocket that I bought a few years ago and it is really good. I still use the henry every now and again especially for heavy duty cleaning. I've got 4 boys so you can imagine the mess they can create and it does the job.

I got a sweeper. Stupidly proud of my £16 hoover hahaha. And I can make the poll shorter and my 3yo runs around cleaning for me
by (4k points)
@ratel I love my Bissell push sweeper. It even gets up my dogs hair. Great for a quick clean, my nephew loves using it too (he now 11).
by (2.2k points)
Would these be good on wooden floors or just better suited for carpets x
by (2.6k points)
@pompous8 better for carpets from my experience. Says it works on both but tbh it struggles picking up the biscuit crumbs on the wood floor x
by (2.2k points)
@ratel aww really I had a Dyson v6 I think its cordless but the now the catch were it emptys has broke an it struggles to charge an now am at an end what type of Hoover. This looked great for me as I suffer badly with arthritis in my hands so on my bad days looked an specially when ones saying about the kids joining in to help lol just not sure weather to see if can get the Hoover fixed somewhere or do I use the opportunity to buy a new one seen ones saying miele Hoover but dont 500 odd to buy one xx
by (2.6k points)
@pompous8 well the thing is it works on hardwood just takes twice as long as it struggles to pick up. So especially if you've got arthritis I don't think it would be great having to do twice as much work  Could still get one to get the kids to do the carpets though  and it still works for soil and lighter crumbs just not biscuits apparently ‍♀️
by (2.2k points)
@ratel/activity" class="qa-user-link">ratel aww no @ratel/activity" class="qa-user-link">ratel I will just look for another decent cordless or see how much it would be to get it fixed as if it will cost near same as a new one might as well get a new one I just have a love hate relationship with Hoovers this Dyson I have had has last good 4 yrs while before I I probably bought 4 in the one yr ‍♀️‍♀️ xx

Get a shark, they are amazing, you really wouldn’t believe how much suction they have, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough, I have a corded one and I’ve recently purchased a cordless one too , and the cordless one is just as good, I keep the cordless one upstairs but often do the whole house with it , just because it’s easy, without plugging and unplugging, the cordless one is lighter in weight , they were both £200 each, honestly you wouldn’t regret getting one .
