My FELLA got slim/putty on my new sofa. I put washing up liquid on a cloth and scrubbed it and it came off. Used a dry tea towel to rub it dry so didn't leave a water ring

White vinegar dissolves slime, if it's play dough, it will dry to a powder, vacuum when dry

Ice cube over it, it will go hard and then you can just pick it off without ruining the carpet

Try elbow grease it worked on fabric sofa but test a little patch first.
