It’s water soluble and the vapor doesn’t stain anything in our house and i have a very heavy vaping husband. Looks like the house is on fire when I walk in sometimes.

I think it’s when he’s filing it up , as in splashes

@boeotia Yes then. It would leave a grease mark on painted surfaces
by (7.6k points)
@solicitous479 hes still saying that can’t happen
by (1.5k points)
@boeotia I reckon it would. I have a stain on my duvet cover that has never washed out

It’s should just wipe off, it’s not made with oil. I’ve spilt it before and it’s washed out of clothes etc no bother.

@holotype there’s no other reason for the marks ‍♀️

@boeotia mine’s always come out in a normal 40 degree wash. I do use bio washing pods though ‍♀️

It does have vegetable glycerin in it which makes it oily but does come out if you get in on clothes etc, hows he managing to get in on walls and the ceiling though?

@bonanza I'm glad you agree as he said no its not the vapes, but since he went to a mega blaster  I've noticed it.

@ferren same here. I’m nosy and love looking out my window so can’t see much when it’s got the film on plus with being off work I’ve got more time to clean them AND be nosy  x

Copied from Google . The simple answer is that it can stain walls – eventually – but even if it does contain staining agents, it will not cause the same type of damage that cigarette smoking does. . All in all, it is possible that vaping could stain walls over a prolonged period of time of really intense vaping.

Well my white window sills turn yellow with some vape smoke from the boyfriends "puff the magic dragon" as it's called by me. Only certain brands do it and he's adamant it's not him but it comes and goes in the rooms he smokes it in and it never happened before he had it

Yes! It leaves a greasy, sticky layer over everything, ceiling, walls, surfaces, floors, everything. If nicotine is also used, then it will stain and leave a smell as well Speaking from experience! Ex housemate vaped in near enough every room, even my furniture had a layer of sticky residue. You may not think it, but it is very definitely there.

This is the mark that I did on purpose last night . I put soap powder in a bowl with really warm water and it’s been washed . Mark still there ! So I’ve proved him wrong and he’s still arguing it’s not the oil ! .

Yes. It's an oil. The starch in the Matt paint will absorb oil spilt on it
