I use a small coating of vaseline. never had any trouble with then x

WD40. Also good for protecting the glass from stains.

No to WD40 it is NOT a lubricating oil. Dry silicon spray.

I'd use Vaseline, wd40 is not a lubricating oil and it smells awful :)
