Milton is food-safe. Eg you could wash all your salad items in Milton, and eat them safely. You wouldn’t do that with bleach. You can even add it to bath water & bathe in it. I don’t know the chemical difference between the two but I know Milton kills germs the same, but is much more gentle than bleach.

Bleach actually kills all germs, sterilising fluid doesn't. (I know this as did studies on disinfection routines). Bleach is the most effective thing to use

Bleach sterilises much better, but isn't food safe or safe to use around kids or pets. Which one you'd use depends on the situation.

Bleach is strong and is harmful if not careful, its made of chlorine gas in a concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide, which forms sodium hypochlorite and sodium chloride. ***Milton Sterilising is a form of bleach and contains sodium hypochlorite 2%. It is recommended over other bleach formulations as it does not contain colouring agents or perfumes, so it is less likely to cause stinging or irritation. on their website they say it is is totally food safe and can be used to disinfect fridges, chopping boards, plastic containers with no need to rinse.
